This black acrylic paste additive can yield a solid black finish if you wish to tint the Permalac yourself. To obtain an opaque black effect, add approximately 1 oz of black paste for every eight fluid ounces of Permalac Original, EF, or NT. Safety and technical data pages are available here. Certificates of analysis are available here.

- To obtain a transparent "blackener" effect, add 5% of Peacock Black Tint v/v to the Permalac to mimic a blackened steel effect. This approximates 6.4 fluid ounces of tint for every 128 fluid ounces of Permalac OR 1 mL of black tint for 19 mL of Permalac.
- To obtain an opaque "black" effect, we suggest using the Peacock Black Acrylic Paste Additive instead. You can purchase it here.
