Ben is the owner of Unconventional Metal, located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. His submission in the Permalac Contest was our judges overwhelming choice for winner in August, and it’s easy to see why.

“Perpetual Fire” is a flame sculpture I built for the Greenway Heritage Trail in Winona Lake, Indiana. The piece commemorates the famous evangelist Billy Sunday and his tabernacle in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s.

The piece was protected using the Permalac Original formula in satin. It turned out great and looks even better outside than in the shop. I will definitely be using it again. Can’t wait to try the gloss!”
