Tints in various colors for Permalac.

  • Peacock Black Tint

    $44.00$726.00
Our translucent tints can also tint Permalac Original, Permalac EF, Permalac NT, and Permalac 2K. These tints come in seven colors: gold, copper, yellow, red, black, violet, and blue. They are colorfast, will not fade, and can be mixed to make a custom patina. Tints can be mixed between 1:15 (tint to lacquer) and 1:30 ratios to yield the best results.
    • To obtain a transparent "blackener" effect, add 5% of Peacock Black Tint v/v to the Permalac to mimic a blackened steel effect. This approximates 6.4 fluid ounces of tint for every 128 fluid ounces of Permalac OR 1 mL of black tint for 19 mL of Permalac.
    • To obtain an opaque "black" effect, we suggest using the Peacock Black Acrylic Paste Additive instead. You can purchase it here.
