Permalac Original Semi-Matte is a water-clear, fast-drying, solvent-based lacquer coating that protects various surfaces. This formula yields a low satin sheen with 50 gloss units (GU). It is a direct-to-substrate (DTS) coating, which means it can be applied directly to a wide range of surfaces without needing a primer. Thanks to its advanced UV and corrosion inhibitors and temperature stabilizers, it can withstand even the harshest conditions, including freezing temperatures, desert heat, salt air, and acid rain. Permalac can be applied to bare or painted metal, wood, or stone surfaces, and it can act as a sealer if you decide to paint over it. It offers exceptional resistance to environmental corrosives, making it ideal for interior and exterior applications. It has excellent adhesion to various substrates, including polished and patinated metals, hardwoods, fiberglass, and masonry or stone products on land and marine environments. Permalac is flexible and does not separate when metal is bent, making it perfect for use on circuit breakers and other electrical components. Additionally, it provides full protection against mold and mildew, which helps prevent short circuits and other electrical problems. You can apply Permalac by spraying or brushing it on.
