Permalac Original Formula

Permalac Original is the ultimate solution for protecting various surfaces. It can be directly applied to a wide range of surfaces without requiring a primer. Its advanced UV and corrosion inhibitors make it the go-to choice for even the harshest environments. Permalac offers exceptional resistance to environmental corrosives, making it ideal for both interior and exterior applications. It has excellent adhesion to various substrates, including metals, wood, and stone. Additionally, it provides full protection against mold and mildew. One gallon of Permalac covers approximately 400 square feet in a single coat.

Permalac EF, NT, and SR Formulas (VOC-Compliant, Ultra Low-VOC, Scratch-Resistant)

Permalac EF is an environmentally friendly coating suitable for direct application on metal, wood, stone, and fiberglass surfaces. It has a low VOC concentration and performs equally well as the standard Permalac without any strong odor. It is ideal for interior treatment of metal decorative items in commercial building lobbies and elevators. It is available in matte or satin finishes, and one gallon can cover up to 400 square feet in a single coat.

Permalac NT is an eco-friendly, low VOC coating for indoor and outdoor applications. It’s odorless, contains no toluene, and offers excellent durability on various substrates. With 400 sq. ft. coverage per gallon in a single coat and four finishes to choose from, Permalac NT offers great value for money. It’s also FDA food-grade tested and ClearChem certified for compliance with LEED standards.

Permalac SR is a clear, one-part, scratch-resistant topcoat that is VOC-compliant according to CA state guidelines. To achieve the best results, apply two coats of Permalac NT or three coats of Permalac Original/EF as a base layer before applying Permalac SR. It is available in satin or matte finishes, with a coverage of 350 square feet per gallon in a single coat.

Permalac Thinners

Permalac Thinners are specially formulated with Permalac products (clearcoats and tinted). They are recommended for use when spraying Permalac through spray guns or to help prevent the appearance of streaks while applying the lacquer via brush. Our Permalac thinners can also be used to prepare the substrate’s surface (before applying Permalac) and clean up/remove after applying the product.

Permalac Blackener (Transparent-Tinted)

Permalac Blackener consists of our base Permalac lacquer formula with a proprietary blend of transparent black tint, and stabilizers added to keep the product performing at its best. The Permalac Blackener allows you to seal and blacken your metal in one step; no patina chemicals are required. Use it to easily and quickly create a blackened steel or anodized look. It is available in the Original and NT product lines in a variety of sheens. Coverage is 400 square feet per gallon in a single coat.

Permalac Colors (Opaque & Transparent Varieties)

Permalac Colors consists of highly-tinted Permalac products. Permalac Original Black, Original Copper, and NT Copper offer total opacity for a full substrate cover with a single coating. On the other hand, Permalac NT Bronze, Brass, Rose Gold, and Christmas Gold offer beautiful transparent finishes, lightly coating your substrate to allow the underlining texture, whether on wood, metal, or stone, to be still revealed. Available in the Original and NT product lines in a variety of sheens. Coverage is 400 square feet per gallon in a single coat.

Permalac Tints (For Custom Tinting)

Our line of translucent tints can also tint Permalac, Permalac EF, Permalac NT, and Permalac 2K. These tints come in seven colors: gold, copper, yellow, red, black, violet, and blue. They are color-fast and will not fade, and they can be mixed to make a custom patina. They are available in small and large volumes. Dilute and use according to need.

Permalac Matting Compounds (To Subdue Sheen)

Peacock Matting Compounds are substances that can be added to pre-formulated lacquers to reduce their shine. These compounds are compatible with all Permalac products and are available in both powder and paste forms.

“The product was infallible. Permalac not only acts as a fungicide that resists mold, it positively repels it. Mold simply can’t and won’t grow on it.”

Aside from protecting the carefully finished metal surface, Permalac has the advantage of being invisible. Unlike other lacquers it doesn’t give architectural coatings a plastic coated appearance and sheen.

“Permalac is extremely easy to use, cures in about 2 hours, and can be sprayed vertically or horizontally without drip formation. Permalac just melts into itself, but even if a texture did develop, we just spray a little more Permalac and we obtain that smooth-as-glass finish our customers require.”
