Used as a protective coating for cement, brick or stone. Permalac is ready for application right out of the can. Other competitive coatings designed for these substrates often require an acid etching step or proprietary primers. For ease of use, this gives Permalac a decided advantage. And this is in addition to Permalac's proven toughness and durability.
Because of the surface porosity of brick, cement and stone, the first coat of Permalac should always be applied by brush rather than spray. Users may want to consider power washing for dirt and grease removal before applying Permalac. In this case users should be sure to give the washed surface several days to dry before applying Permalac. Water trapped in cement after the Permalac coating has cured could cause problems - Especially in a freeze-thaw environment.
